Missouri Trucking Company CFI Gets New President and VP
Tuesday, Feb 27 2018 admin
In the trucking industry, change is necessary to maintain positive growth. Otherwise, you have trucking companies that are stuck in the Stone Age unable to process the latest trends and demands of the industry. One of the biggest trucking companies is making a positive change in its leadership by installing a new president and vice president. The move at CFI will bring in new ideas and, in turn, continue to stimulate performance in this booming freight market. Find out more about the new CFI President Greg Orr and VP Michael Hinz. Learn how this will help truckers looking for truck driving jobs in Missouri.
Presidential Promotion at CFI
The new CFI President is not a new face in the president department. Prior to his leadership role at CFI, Greg Orr was Action Resources President, an over the road hazardous waste carrier. He has also been the President, as well as the VP, of Con-Way Multimodal. This leadership experience at the top of some of the largest trucking companies in the US is bound to benefit CFI.
Regarding the promotion to CFI President Greg Orr said, “Our approach is to lead with excellence and build results through the consistently superior service that is a hallmark of CFI and that our customers expect. I’m pleased to welcome Michael to the CFI team and look forward to his leadership and contributions to our success.”
Moving Up to VP Position
Along with the new president, CFI is also gaining a new perspective in leadership from its new Vice President Michael Hinz. Like Orr, Hinz also has ample experience at the top of trucking companies. He was the president of the van division at Roehl Transport where he also led the refrigerated and dedicated trucking divisions during his career there. Before going to Roehl Transport, Hinz was employed at Schneider National. For more than 20 years, Hinz worked in multiple positions at this truck driving company. As a result, Hinz has a thorough background and work history in the trucking industry.
Regarding the new roles in leadership at CFI, Chief Financial Officer of TFI International Greg Rumble had this to say: “Greg has been the driving force behind many of our recent accomplishments, and bringing Michael to CFI further supports our efforts to create a world-class leadership team. I am confident in Greg and Michael’s ability to leverage the backing of TFI to reinforce a culture of excellence and success for CFI and its valued customers.” TFI International is the truckload freight division that operates under the CFI group.
Finding a Trucking Job at CFI
To join CFI under this new leadership, consider the many types of trucking jobs available at CFI. The carrier hires company drivers, team truck drivers, OTR truckers, regional truck drivers, and LTL freight haulers. While the bulk of the freight loads involves dry van hauling, the company also requires its drivers to be endorsed to transport hazmat loads. This adds to the value of haul types transported by CFI.
In addition, CFI promotes diversity in hiring truck drivers. The company hires student drivers, military truck drivers, and female drivers. If you are just starting out and have recently graduated from trucking school, you may be eligible to receive tuition reimbursement. The carrier also offers company paid tuition for students starting to train for their CDL.
For military truck drivers, the company is partnered with the US Army Recruiting Command. This ensures a priority hiring status for soldiers enrolled in the Partnership for Youth Success program via the military.
CFI also offers a truck driver apprenticeship program for veterans and reservists. With this truck driver training program, military truck drivers can utilize GI Bill benefits to receive financial assistance while in their first year of driving a truck. At the same time, these drivers receive quality behind the wheel training that ensures they are prepared to take to the open roads as a truck driver on their own.
Female truckers will be interested to hear that one of the truck drivers at CFI, Stephanie Klang, is an ATA Road Team Captain. Only a handful of drivers get chosen for this elite team of truckers each year. For Klang to have the driving opportunity and support by her trucking company to reach this goal is outstanding. You, too, can join a team that supports female truckers by applying for driving jobs at CFI today.
