truck for Ryder on the roadAs a truck driver in the Pacific Northwest, and especially truck drivers in Seattle, getting routine preventative maintenance is a little easier now. Ryder System, Inc. has opened a truck service center in Marysville, WA. This is located in the Puget Sound region and near to Seattle and Tacoma. The facility will also be able to offer Ryder Mobile Maintenance for over the road drivers in the area who are in need of scheduled PM after hours. Find out what this new Ryder System facility will feature and how it will benefit you as a WA truck driver.

About Maintenance Shop in Marysville

The new truck maintenance facility is a 16,000 square feet space with a 1,000 unit capacity. That’s right, it will hold 1,000 vehicles, so there is plenty of space to put your big rig when you need some preventative maintenance over the road. The center has a truck wash bay for keeping your truck clean in Washington. Use this truck wash in WA whenever you stop in at Ryder System for your PM. In the future, a diesel fuel service island will be added to the facility, giving Ryder drivers even more of an advantage when saving time between hauls.

The location is an even bigger asset for Ryder truck drivers and drivers who use Ryder truck services. According to Dennis Cooke, who is Ryder President of Fleet Management Solutions, “Seattle is currently the second-largest metropolitan area in the United States for growth, and Marysville is a growing city in Washington, so it was a natural fit for our next facility location.

As Ryder looks to better serve our new and existing ChoiceLease and commercial rental customers, we wanted to ensure we had a premier shop in an optimal location and this new facility fits both those needs.” By having a shop facility in Marysville, Ryder is primed and positioned to assist all truck drivers in the PNW region and those with cross border freight coming from Canada.

About Ryder Mobile Maintenance

The Ryder Mobile Maintenance program provides drivers with everything they need to stay safe while hauling freight over the road. Whether you drive a truck for Ryder or you are a truck driver with a Ryder truck, you can use this service. With the Ryder Mobile Maintenance program, you are able to schedule PM outside of the normal 9 to 5 working hours.

This is quite convenient for OTR truck drivers who are hauling freight and unable to make it back home for preventative truck maintenance. PM is essential to the lifespan of your equipment and the overall value of your haul. When you maintain your truck you reduce the wear and tear on everything from the engine to the air conditioning system in a refrigerated trailer.

This is all going to help you save money and prevent unexpected roadside repairs. Plus, if your running with new or late model equipment, the truck you operate is most likely going to have a warranty covering the cost of repairs and PM. Take advantage of the warranty services and make the most of your big rig.
